Discovery Land Company is PLH's development partner, which has branded Barbuda Ocean Club as an “heirloom community where you can extend your legacy for generations to come.” Discovery Land Company has built many other resorts like this, including Baker’s Bay in the Bahamas, which completed construction and opened for business despite widespread resistance from the local community.

In 2014, actor Robert DeNiro and billionaire James Packer partnered up to launch an exclusive hotel, Paradise Found. Their deal with the Government spurred ongoing controversy and lawsuits about the constitutionality of such a land concession.

Escape to (Barbuda), Inc. is developing a resort on the southern coast of Barbuda. Construction has been started by Kelly Construction Co.

The Abercorn Trust has proposed building a 15,000 private mansion on the Ramsar-protected wetland of Codrington Lagoon National Park, dangerously close to the region's largest frigate bird sanctuary. This private residence is being constructed for the Director of the Abercorn Trust, Mr Anderson, who is serving as lead developer and has partnered with John Paul DeJoria for this project.

BlueFin is working as an Infrastructure Contractor for Barbuda Ocean Club, with contributions that include implementing electricity equipment.

Environmental Assessments

Deborah Brosnan & Associates has conducted environmental assessments for PLH’s projects, which have given the green light for environmental destruction. Deborah Brosnan is also part of the ‘PLH Partnership’ – which means her EIAs are not independent. Some of their Barbuda EIAs are not public, even though they are supposed to be – and they have repeatedly declined to provide copies of the EIAs to the Global Legal Action Network.

Natural Gas, Barbuda Ocean Club

Eagle LNG Partners has signed a long-term agreement with Barbuda Ocean Club to provide US-sourced natural gas for power generation.

Interior Design, Barbuda Ocean Club

Gachot Studios is in partnership with the Barbuda Ocean Club to complete the interior design of homes that are bought on the island.

Gary Kaye Design is a landscape architect, construction, project management and maintenance company, which lists the Barbuda Ocean Club's 18-hole golf course as one of its projects starting in 2019.

Kelly Construction Company has been contracted by PLH (Barbuda) to provide earthworks on the Barbuda Ocean Club site, starting in June 2020. The company is also providing construction and master planning services for Escape to (Barbuda) Inc.

Patronus provides medical services for the Barbuda Ocean Club with medics on site and telemedicine services.

SAV Digital Environments has been contracted as a Low Voltage Integrator for the Barbuda Ocean Club.

World-renowned golf course architect Tom Fazio is the primary designer of PLH’s 18-hole golf course on the protected wetland of Palmetto Point.

Vita, Inc. has been contracted to develop a master plan for the Barbuda Ocean Club. Vita has also worked with Discovery Land Company on other developments.
