Support the Crowdfund

Elected members of the Barbuda Council and other local Barbudans are opposing these developments because of their irreversible impact and incompatibility with the rights of people and the environment.

The Global Legal Action Network (GLAN) has been instructed by the Barbuda Council to resist the destructive developments impacting their island by helping to develop a set of legal strategies. As a not-for-profit, independent, non-governmental organisation, GLAN is crowdfunding donations on behalf of our alliance movement to drive our resistance work further.

 Funds raised will: 

  • Support local legal actions conducted by a Barbudan attorney;

  • Finance research work by Barbudan activists to collect key visual and oral evidence needed to oppose the false ‘sustainability’ narrative of developers and billionaires; and

  • Strengthen GLAN’s efforts to build a comprehensive evidence database, a resource that will be shared with other legal teams.
